Amazing and RARE authentic vintage 1970s Loris Azzaro Top! ICONIC and documented! Gold & Silver Metallic Lame Knit & Metal Chain Top.
Loris Azzaro founded his label in 1967 and quickly was dressing women like Raquel Welch, Brigette Bardot, Tina Turner, Liza Minnelli, Sophia Loren, Marisa Berenson and many, many more. Tina Turner in particular was a huge Loris Azzaro fan and ordered a ton of pieces from his atelier that she then wore onstage for numerous appearances. She made this particular style of top an instant iconic piece. In 1973 Audrey Hepburn was also spotted wearing a version of this same top. A true collectors piece with Rock and Roll History!
Gold and Silver Knit Top with Chain Fringe Tassel and Snap front closure. Lurex knit, hand crocheted mesh bodice unlined with long chain tassel down the front, hiding the snap closures. The chain sleeves have bands of knit at the elbow and cuffs. It closes up the front with five hidden snaps.
This beautiful top is in excellent condition, clean and ready to wear. It looks like it has been worn very little if at all. The knit has some give.
